Senior Manager - Learning & Development (L&D)

We are seeking a Learning and Development Senior Manager to join the Strategy and People Enablement team, supporting the Financial Management Group (FMG) and Risk Management Group (RMG). Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with senior level stakeholders to identify their needs and offer proactive advice and solutions
  • Managing and/or mentoring more junior team members to develop their knowledge and skills in learning and development
  • Liaising with internal and external vendors to identify new L&D opportunities that will help the business meet its objectives
  •  Developing and executing training development and delivery strategies and plans
  • Providing advice and consulting on L&D topics for both day-to-day needs and major strategic initiatives
  • Building and fostering relationships and coordinating with Central L&D, Talent, and HR counterparts, as well as regional L&D counterparts
  • Supporting the regions with coordinating and implementing globally driven L&D initiatives, “regionalising” global materials, identifying regional training needs and supporting the development of relevant L&D programs to address needs
  • Developing courses and supporting materials for internally run courses

About you

To be successful, you will have experience in implementing technical and non-technical training together with a working knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design. You will also:

  • Be curious, always asking, “What’s new,” and “How can we do this better”
  • Be generous with your knowledge, time, and feedback
  • Be bold, seeing challenges as opportunities that can be overcome as a team
  • Have experience in a similar training role, preferably in large, complex organisation
  • Have tertiary qualifications, preferably in Learning & Development, HR, or a similar field
  • Have a strong team player mindset and the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Have exceptional communication skills
  • Have the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Have outstanding planning, organisation and project management skills
