Senior Manager, Internal Communications & Business Strategy

Joining our Strategy & People Enablement team as the Senior Internal Communications Manager, you will support our Financial Management Group and work closely with the Macquarie Chief Financial Officer and the supporting Leadership team.

By partnering with internal clients, you will identify their needs to offer proactive advice and solutions that support the articulation of group strategy, drive employee and stakeholder engagement, and promote a shared understanding of business initiatives and projects.

In this role, you will curate and facilitate leadership offsites, strategy workshops and town halls, as well as strongly contribute to strategic initiatives by collaborating closely with Human Resources, Regional peers, and Change Managers. As an experienced communications specialist, you will also manage and mentor two direct reports, expanding their experience and uplifting their knowledge and capability.

You’re a natural collaborator, with proven ability to build relationships, coach and support others to complement the existing team and business. Needless to say, you have excellent written communications skills, with an intuitive and innovative approach to your work. Being tertiary qualified, or the equivalent years of experience, you will have a proven track record of exceptional writing and the ability to present ideas and insights through storytelling.

To be successful in this role, you are confident in your ability to develop relationships at all levels, have similar experience in a large and complex organisation, are a team player and a natural problem solver. You are proactive, organised and people-oriented, with strong experience in influencing senior stakeholders with an ability to engage staff around a clear vision amidst a number of initiatives, ensuring the audience are at the centre of all engagement activity.
