Senior Associate - Project Team - Market Operations

Our team is an exciting and driven team focused on delivering workflow and robotic process automation solutions using agile (SCRUM) methodology to enhance the way Market Operations perform their processes and deliver their services. We are also looking at opportunities to broaden our scope to including other digital and innovative solutions.

We are looking for energetic business analyst with 1-2 years experience to join our team in Sydney to work with local and global teams to support the successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Interface with teams in Market Operations and other stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements, undertake analysis and contribute to design of end-to-end business processes
  • Working closely with technology teams to communicate and clarify requirements; ensure solutions meet the business objectives
  • Supporting change management activities for projects and impacted stakeholders and teams
  • Work with teams in Market Operations on process improvement initiatives – to identify, analyse, prioritise and implement business process improvements; track benefits realised and manage the expectations of stakeholders
  • Contribute to and where required and assist the user acceptance testing phases of projects.
  • Support teams in Market Operations and ensure adherence to the Project governance framework and the policies and standards used by Market Operations
  • Assist in the management of issues effectively and efficiently, provide pragmatic solutions

About you

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Completed a relevant degree or have 1 to 2 years’ experience in a business analyst role including requirements elicitation and definition, leading workshops, process mapping, scope definition, change management, testing, implementation and user training
  • Experience of working on projects in investment banking operations / back-office is desirable
  • Experience with Business Process Management systems desirable

Technical Specialist Skills:

  • Ability to analyse complex processes / issues
  • Strong problem solving and gap analysis skills, excellent eye for detail
  • Be confident in learning new financial products, businesses and operational processes
  • Ability to manage priorities and resources to effectively deal with changes in demand
  • Demonstrate an understanding to risk management principles and technical standards
  • Have a learning mindset
  • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic work environment
