Sales Trader – Key Clients, High Volume Stock Trading


This is a real opportunity to join one of the leading Institutional equity desks in the market and will allow you to own your career as well as contribute to the success of the business. You’ll play an integral role in our Cash Equities Trading business, managing relationships with key clients, colleagues and engaged stakeholders. 

Working on the ‘high touch’ Sales Trading desk, you’ll manage the marketing and monetisation of our products.  By leveraging your local or international Institutional Sales Trading experience as well as our global presence, and ensuring adherence to licensing and regulatory guidelines, your goal will be to drive profitability.  

With a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience from within an Institutional Sales Trading environment, you’ll need to be highly-motivated, commercially-oriented and ambitious. You’ll thrive on identifying opportunities, building strong institutional relationships, delivering market intelligence and executing strategies that will have a direct impact on the trading desk’s P&L.  Importantly, you’ll need to demonstrate a strong execution focus as well as understand what “best execution” means. You enjoy success across all key measures including business growth, improvement in rankings and profitability of your client set.  Possessing a strong interest in systems and technical approaches, will be highly-regarded and the ability to automate processes will allow you to provide the highest quality of service to your large client group.

Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce or a related discipline, a stable, yet progressive work history to date in a Sales Trading role, and strong communication skills are key requirements, as is a highly-ethical approach to risk management.
