Relationship Manager, Corporate Transaction Banking - Business Banking

Macquarie Business Banking partners with businesses to provide innovative lending, deposit and payment solutions, and is growing as part of a strategic plan to further develop our business.  As a result, an exciting opportunity currently exists for a Relationship Manager to join the Corporate Transaction Banking team in Sydney.  

In this position, you will be responsible for the management and service of key clients in our preferred transaction banking and payments markets.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and recommending tailored transactional banking requirements for clients in a range of targeted sectors
  • Implementing efficient and effective commercial transactional banking and payment solutions to corporate and institutional clients
  • Building and sustaining strong internal and external relationships across a diverse client base
  • Identifying and executing new business opportunities and referrals
  • Managing ongoing operational risk and building relationships with internal and external risk management teams. 

To be successful in this position, you will possess previous experience in a client facing transactional banking role and have a passion for delivering results. You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Advanced technical understanding of the domestic and international payment systems, cash management solutions, and financial services regulatory landscape.
  • Strong relationship management and business development skills
  • A sales driven, motivated and resilient approach
  • Excellent communication skills highlighted by your ability to build long standing relationships with clients
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise these effectively
  • A flexible and hands on approach with a team focus
  • Attention to detail with a strong focus on risk and compliance
  • Ability to apply skills to varying degrees of business maturity and size, in a domestic and global context
