Project Administrator, Finance


A fantastic opportunity available for a driven, experienced Project Coordinator with a background in transformation/change projects to join Macquarie's Financial Management Group.

We are undertaking a large-scale general ledger transformation program which includes a stream related to the finance Data Warehouse. The Corporate Data team manage the Data Warehouse and are seeking a Project Coordinator to support the implementation and ongoing management of this stream.

In this important role, working closely with the project stream leads, you will be accountable for helping to coordinate, monitor and manage all facets of the project stream’s implementation, using sound project management principles.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • supporting project stream leads to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time and to quality standards
  • managing, coordinating and following up on agreed actions and tasks
  • implementing and managing a process for tracking, monitoring and reporting on overall progress, risks, and issues
  • capturing decisions, actions, dependencies and other ongoing or emerging projects that may impact/be impacted by the stream
  • establishing and managing project artefacts (such as, Project Plan, RACI, RAID)
  • identifying and implementing project management process improvements.

You will need to bring to the role:

  • extensive experience coordinating large-scale projects within complex environments
  • strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across all levels of stakeholders, build relationships quickly, understand and align stakeholder expectations, and problem solve
  • excellent communication (verbal and written), organisational and interpersonal skills
  • high attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • confidence and drive to work autonomously and ensure tasks/actions are done on time
  • adaptable, proven initiative and ‘make it happen’ attitude
  • knowledge of project methodologies / PMO processes
  • intermediate MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.
