The Team

Macquarie’s Banking and Financial Services Group (BFS) comprises retail banking and financial services businesses, providing a diverse range of personal banking, wealth management and business banking products and services to retail customers, advisers, brokers and business clients.

The Products and Technology division of BFS sees product teams working together to share specialist expertise across all divisions and develop solutions that meet the needs of specific target markets.

The Wealth Division offers a number of financial products and services that are offered through a variety of traditional and digital channels. Together, these products and their distribution are referred to as the Wealth Platform.

The Opportunity 

Platform Product Management, as part of the Wealth Division of BFS, has an exciting new opportunity to join their Platform Communications Team. The Platform Communications Team is a specialised function to support communications as it relates to a number of our Wealth products and services, including Macquarie Wrap.

Reporting to the Platform Communications Owner, the role will be responsible for support and oversight of the end-to-end communications and production processes, and supporting the Platform Communications Owner with key Platform Communication initiatives and projects, aimed to continually improve the customer experience with Wealth Platform Communications.

The Role

The core focus of this role will be to work closely with Product Managers and the Platform Communication Team’s digital production specialists on briefing in the marketing/communication/production needs; and to ensure product-related communications are fit for purpose, timely, accurate and monitored for updates.

The role will also work very closely with BFS marketing and communications teams to ensure consistency of messaging, tone-of-voice and the sharing of knowledge as it relates to marketing and communication initiatives across the broader BFS business.

You will be responsible for:

  • Creating Product and Compliance communications and materials targeted to both advisers and client audiences. This will include marketing collateral, regulatory changes, platform updates
  • Communications planning, and creating and maintaining a product communications calendar to help manage the customer experience and contact protocols and provide business visibility of activity
  • Providing regular status updates to Product Owners on progress of communications to assist them in managing badge partners
  • Supporting the business with more complex Platform Communication jobs or large-scale projects (eg: onboarding of new Wrap badges, significant Platform enhancement / change updates, remediations and other significant events as they occur)
  • Acting as a contact for agencies for product-related communications
  • Assisting in the drafting and coordination of disclosure documents
  • Supporting the BFS marketing teams in input and coordination of marketing campaigns
  • Ensuring communications comply with legal, risk and other internal and external regulations and policies (including the relevant legal sign offs, DAS audit trail, spam legislation, etc)
  • Overseeing the extraction of client data for communications to ensure accuracy and updates to information at source where required
  • Working with data and other teams to ensure data integrity is managed
  • Representing Product Management on technology projects impacting communications and disclosures, as required
  • As a part of the Platform Communications Team, take ownership of the end to end communications process for Product communications including:
    • maintaining process documents
    • identifying and implement opportunities to improve and streamline the communications process
    • conducting training/orientation as required

About You 

You will have:

  • Previous marketing and/or communications experience in both traditional and digital arenas
  • Your promotional business writing skills must be of impeccable quality and advanced technically
  • You must be comfortable with mobile and internet technologies as well as more traditional media
  • Ideally you will be Tertiary qualified in Communications or Marketing with exposure to financial services and product related marketing
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities will be a must as will the ability to design and manage processes for rolling out efficient and effective communications with Product Managers
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Can-do attitude
  • Wealth Product / Wrap platform knowledge or experience an advantage
