Network Team Lead

Join a global function and provide expertise in leading technical teams and driving service improvement in an area which is going through a large and exciting transformation program.

With a strong background in leading technical teams (preferably networks but not essential) you’ll be focused on proactively driving engineering resources to deliver on multiple activities with quality in parallel, improving overall service delivery including both technical and process considerations, and effectively managing the personnel aspects of your function (career development, appraisals, etc.).

As a proactive and highly motivated manager, who can effectively balance both tactical and strategic solution delivery in parallel, the opportunities where you can take this role and function are broad. You will also possess excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels and have a can-do attitude accompanied by a strong sense of resilience to overcome obstacles. The ability to thrive within a fast-paced environment, coupled with the ability to work under pressure will set you up for success.

Key technical skills required for this role include:

  • capabilities to lead and manage technical engineers
  • multitasking without compromising quality or delivery efficiency
  • motivating team members to deliver with high quality
  • people leadership and management
  • stakeholder management
  • proactive and can-do mindset
  • conceptual understanding of network technologies preferred but at least a strong conceptual understand of technology in general
  • ability to remain calm under pressure and when faced with adversity or urgent issues
  • customer-focused with a “service first” mentality and best-in-class communication skills
  • the ability to view current processes and procedures as opportunities for enhancement, tuning and improvement.
