Manager, Business Banking Finance Partner

Partner with our Business Banking division and showcase your influencing and advisory skills.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Banking & Financial Services Financial Control team in Sydney. In this role you will partner with our Business Banking division and provide financial control and decision support to our business channels and the CFO.

You can expect to be challenged in this role as you partner closely with the business and use your technical accounting ability to advise on the financial implications on a transaction with a primary focus on the accounting considerations.  You will also make recommendations to key stakeholders for the approval of new transactions. In addition, you will critically assess transaction returns including commercial merits and risks and coordinate financial due diligence and accounting treatment on proposed transactions.

You will use your strong relationship building skills to engage with a variety of key stakeholders including the senior leadership teams, Regulatory Reporting, Tax, Treasury Company Secretarial, Settlements, Compliance and Risk Management.  You will also be asked to think strategically in order to identify opportunities for automation, identify process improvement opportunities and realise and create efficiencies on a regular basis.

A positive and resilient attitude mindset combined with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing deadlines, will allow you to succeed in this role. We would like you to be CA / CPA qualified (or equivalent) with proven post qualification experience and have technical accounting knowledge, ideally from the financial services industry. In addition, your communication skills will be second to none. Financial modelling experience is highly preferred.

If you have a collaborative approach, are curious with the ability to learn and adapt quickly whilst adhering to change, then apply today.
