Head of Learning and Development - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Are you looking for a new opportunity to lead a first-class Learning and Development team?

Our Banking and Financial Services division is passionate about developing a learning culture, and we provide our employees with the architecture to drive their own development, through use of best practice frameworks, innovation and technology. As our Head of Learning and Development, you’ll be responsible for the development of the learning strategy and executing this vision to meet performance and commercial outcomes of the business.  This role forms part of the People & Culture leadership team and supports the execution of the employee experience agenda.

As leader of the L&D team, you will be responsible for coaching and driving performance outcomes across the team. The Learning team is made up of learning business partners, as well as instructional designers and trainers.  The role of the team is to consult with all levels of our business on capability needs, and to develop solutions by co-designing and delivering materials and measuring their impact.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate your ability to lead a strategic agenda and deliver tangible business impact. This role encompasses strategy and execution, so a deep understanding of learning, organisational development and change management practices will help you to execute the depth and breadth of projects within the team’s portfolio.

Innovation and continuous improvement is crucial to this role. Advancing our execution capability, building data driven insights and realigning our processes to improve speed and quality are key skills that will enable your performance and success in this role.

You will have strong commercial acumen and proven experience working with senior leadership teams, consulting experience in learning, organisational development and change management along with a strong understanding of the digital learning landscape. Your experience in delivering technical solutions, managing multiple projects and competing needs and executing in an agile environment will enable you to lead the team, deliver at pace, and drive change. Experience working in financial services is preferable.

If you have a genuine passion for coaching teams and delivering first-class learning and development content, then we want to hear from you.
