Head of Corporate Data

This newly created opportunity will see you leading an established Corporate Data Team supporting the Financial Management Group (FMG). The Corporate Data Team are the business owners of the Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) and are responsible for sourcing, validating and providing data for use by downstream consumers across Macquarie. This crucial role will require strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering capability as you will work closely with the FMG and Risk Management Group (RMG) Senior and functional leadership group, Group Data officers in other business units and the Technology team.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Partner with Technology to manage the CDW ensuring performance and stability meets the needs of stakeholders
  • Measurement and enhancement of key performance and risk indicators to support a best practice control framework
  • Developing existing data quality validation capability and managing the data quality escalation and remediation process
  • Working with, facilitating and influencing teams across the business to adopt process and workflows that align with Data quality best practices
  • Expanding and enhancing the CDW data model to meet the growing demands of consumers

We ask that you have proven experience in the following areas:

  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Leading and developing high performance, cross-location team
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions
  • Data acquisition, relational data bases and data modelling
  • Data architecture including data warehousing and data lakes
  • Driving operational excellence
  • Measurement and metrics dashboards to enable transparent performance reporting
  • Banking and Financial Services experience across Finance, Treasury, Tax and Credit a plus

The Financial Management Group provides financial, tax and treasury services to all areas of Macquarie. The group is focused on providing strategic analysis and advice to Macquarie's businesses and senior management, managing Macquarie's funding, liquidity and capital position, ensuring Macquarie continues to meet regulatory and compliance obligations and managing Macquarie's corporate communications and investor relations.
