Roll out of global data governance framework

This challenging and key role will provide you with the opportunity to build and lead a small team responsible for data strategy, governance, and architecture for Macquarie Capital. You will use your passion for data and strong data experience to lead senior stakeholder engagement and business partnering, while managing a small team responsible for the following functions:  

  • Developing and implementing the Macquarie Capital data strategy and get stakeholder buy-in and engagement
  • Partnering with Technology to implement data architecture supporting reporting, analytics and efficient processes
  • Ensuring compliance with enterprise data management policy and standards
  • Bringing Macquarie Capital data under governance through critical data element identification, definition and mapping
  • Learning and Communication strategy to enhance understanding across the business

This exciting and rewarding opportunity requires strong senior stakeholder management and influencing skills, experience in data analytics and visualization including knowledge of analytics technologies such as PowerBI, Tableau and Alteryx, as well as an understanding of data warehousing and data lakes. An understanding of the relationship between accounting (balance sheet, income statements) and data would be encouraged. Your ability to work collaboratively across functions will prove critical to success.
