Financial Reporting Analyst Commodities and Global Markets


Start you career in Finance and Analysis and join the Business Finance team supporting several global businesses across the Specialised and Asset Finance division.

Macquarie Specialised and Asset Finance is a leading global provider of asset finance and structured lending and has been growing year-on-year. As a successful Reporting Analyst within this team, you will work closely with business stakeholders and take ownership and accountability for reporting and analytics solutions.

As the Reporting Analyst your responsibilities will include:

  • independently applying superior problem-solving ability to identify meaningful insights that drive business decisions
  • developing reporting in PowerBI including management reporting, credit risk reporting and operational reporting
  • extracting and manipulating data from our information sources including using SQL
  • owning and driving continuous improvement in our approach to reporting and analysis
  • taking responsibility of assigned tasks and complete as per relevant policies and procedures
  • performing ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed
  • assisting the Specialised Asset Finance team with business as usual tasks and projects

Key to your success, you will be degree qualified in Statistics, Finance or Business with some exposure to business reporting and analysis. You will be highly numerical with an exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will thrive on solving complex problems and will have a strategic approach to your thinking. You will exhibit strong time management, organisation and prioritisation skills coupled with a proven ability to multitask and shift your focus across tasks as directed.  In addition, you will have strong verbal and written communication skills and can deal with internal stakeholders and enjoy working in a team environment.  Previous knowledge of PowerBI and SQL will be highly regarded.
