eBanking Operations Analyst

A great opportunity for an experienced operations analyst with a DevOps mindset ideally from a financial services background.

As our eBanking Operations Analyst, you will work to support our internet banking teams, ensuring that software delivered meets operational objectives. Forget what you know about Big Banks and how they do digital, we're a little different. In this role, you will be expected to:

  • support our internet banking teams to ensure that software delivered meets operational objectives, and is of a high-quality
  • liaise with our BFS Call centre and off-shore teams to triage and resolve incidents
  • be able to lead and manage incidents to resolution - working with both the development team and operations teams to see it through to production
  • have a DevOps mindset and contribute to overall streamlined delivery of software to production on a daily basis
  • look after releases, manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • be able to work in a team, but also be efficient working autonomously
  • learn and be willing to work with technologies and languages you are or are not familiar with
  • understand security policies and restrictions that apply to Tier One and creating solutions that comply with these rules
  • work within and across other teams / businesses to achieve common goals
  • have strong problem-solving skills and proven experience in incident management and resolution
  • have good verbal and communication skills.

Your specific technical skills will include:

  • experience supporting web applications
  • experience using tools such as Remedy, PagerDuty, and/or Splunk for monitoring and reporting on incidents
  • troubleshooting distributed applications
  • good SQL skills.

You may also possess skills in the following (but it is not essential):

  • equally adept at conversing with Mobile and Web Teams (i.e. has mobile and web knowledge)
  • experience with Atlassian tools and their application to Agile environments
  • exposure to using continuous deployment and delivery
  • knowledge of JMS / messaging, queues and topics.
