Digital Marketing Associate, Performance Marketing

Are you a digital marketing specialist who is passionate about delivering a differentiated customer experience? We’re recruiting a Digital Marketing Associate responsible for supporting the delivery of strategic and tactical initiatives to market across Macquarie Bank’s digital channels.

Reporting to the Head of Performance Marketing, you’ll develop email marketing and Ads campaigns, using both platform tools and basic HTML/CSS knowledge to create best-in-class experiences for our clients. Your deep, working knowledge of email and Ad platforms, set up and ongoing management coupled with best in class practices will see you drive results across the business. This role will play an essential role in the broader marketing initiatives that will contribute to the success of the business.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • working with the Head of Performance Marketing and channel marketing teams across Personal Banking, Business Banking and Wealth Management businesses to plan, build and execute campaigns
  • creating, deliver and optimise email marketing campaigns and performance marketing activities
  • managing trigger email campaigns throughout the customer lifecycle to maximise engagement
  • creating organic email databases for lead generation. Carry out segmentation of databases to implement remarketing strategies
  • testing and learning with certain audiences to grow email list subscriptions & segmentation of lists
  • tracking and reporting on KPI metrics from email marketing efforts
  • understanding email and ads best practices and industry-related compliance laws
  • ensuring prompt and accurate communication with clients and stakeholders.

You’ll bring the following skills and experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing and campaign execution
  • demonstrated experience in building email marketing campaigns and journeys using platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud is essential
  • experience with Google Analytics, HTML/CSS, A/B Testing, and other content management systems
  • experience with data analytics to determine what worked and what didn’t by looking at the data and suggesting improvements
  • experience with Google Ads (Search, Display, Remarketing) and Social channels (Facebook and LinkedIn) preferred
  • exceptional attention to detail, written communication skills, ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple competing tasks and demands
  • the ability to understand and integrate feedback coming from many different internal partners with diverse viewpoints and opinions.
