DevOps Engineer - Payment Applications


The role is a fantastic opportunity for you, the enthusiastic developer, with demonstrated .Net and SQL experience to grow your own skillset and career! Join a fast-paced team focussed on building, supporting, and delivering critical payments applications and infrastructure used globally across Macquarie.

You will be part of a high performing team building, maintaining and delivering key applications used by a global audience within Macquarie. You will collaborate with other senior developers to provide DevOps support for a wide range of applications deployed across production environments.

You will also ensure the quality of releases by assisting with the development of unit and system tests, contribute and produce documentation which supports the testing.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • DevOps background with 2-4 years of demonstrated experience in the Financial Services sector (preferably in a developer role)
  • experience in developing in C# / .Net Framework and working with WebAPI and/or Restful APIs.
  • Working with other languages or frameworks (Python, Java, Angular etc.)
  • knowledge of relational databases and working with SQL and stored procedures (AWS RDS, Oracle, MS-SQL)
  • skills with development tools (JIRA, Confluence) an advantage
  • Understanding of version control systems and delivery pipelines (GIT, uDeploy, Stash, Bitbucket) highly regarded
  • knowledge of platform infrastructure (Windows Server, UNIX (RHEL), MQ) a bonus·
