DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team to help build the next generation of platforms to support the development of our Banking services for our Banking and Financial Services (BFS) division. You will need to possess a strong background in cloud technologies and sound understanding of Agile, DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) principles.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience with using a broad range of Cloud technologies (AWS and/or GCP)
  • experience with container and container management technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • experience with CI/CD (e.g. Bamboo, Jenkins, Maven) and Automation software (e.g. Ansible, Puppet)
  • strong scripting (e.g. Python, Bash, JSON) and automation skills
  • solid operating system (Linux, Windows) and SQL skills
  • experience with Web and Application Server technologies (e.g. Apache Tomcat, JBoss)
  • familiar with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence)
  • understanding network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH)

Desired Skills (Not essential but beneficial to have):

  • basic DB administration experience (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server).
  • experience administrating version control systems such as SVN and GIT
  • experience with system monitoring and logging tools (e.g. AppDynamics, Splunk, CloudWatch)
  • exposure to Virtualization (e.g. KVM, VMware)
  • understanding of Microservices and APIs
  • experience with Agile software development, project management methodologies.
