Data Business Analyst, Capital Projects - 12 Month Max Term Contract

Join a collaborative and high performing Projects and Change team to work on a portfolio of Capital related projects within Macquarie’s Financial Management Group. 

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to work on a significant Macquarie program. Using your strong background in supporting process and system-based projects and change, you will be key to driving this project to completion.

Working as part of a team you will complete business requirements documentation and work with technical teams to complete functional requirements documentation.  In doing this, you will work collaboratively with relevant groups to deliver the project, developing and implementing appropriate solutions. In addition, you will input into the development and delivery of a test strategy requiring the alignment of numerous systems, data feeds and reporting changes.

You will have extensive business analysis experience in complex projects encompassing data, system and reporting change coupled with the ability to coordinate multiple assignments and work independently. You will have the ability and poise to maintain stakeholder satisfaction when faced with competing priorities, as well as the ability to motivate and influence project stakeholders.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working with stakeholders to understand data requirements, business processes and data flows, and effectively identify and build controls around critical data elements
  • ensuring business, functional and technical requirements documentation are fit-for-purpose
  • working with central data function (CD) to assist in solution and delivery of requirements
  • working collaboratively and constructively with a variety of business stakeholders to deliver tangible results for the project.

 You will have the following experience/qualifications:

  • Finance and Data Management ideally from the Financial Services industry
  • strong background in implementing control frameworks and supporting system-based projects and change
  • possess the ability to work independently, coordinate cross-functional assignments and use your experience to implement appropriate solutions
  • strong stakeholder management experience together with the capacity to be flexible and display resolve to meet key project milestones.
