Data & Analytics Manager

With a busy and growing business to support, we are always looking for ways to optimise our client and employee experience and cultivate data driven decision making. We are seeking a strong problem solver, analytics translator with data modelling experience.

In this role you will:

  • be responsible for owning and delivering analytical projects supporting the Wealth Channel’s strategic initiatives
  • will consult with Wealth stakeholders to understand their business priorities and opportunities then proactively introduce innovative thinking and analytical solutions to those situations
  • will apply independent judgment in creating new statistical models, analysing, and connecting model results to business questions and hypotheses
  • manage multiple projects, business as usual and ad-hoc activities across the team to deliver high-quality outputs on time and in budget
  •  will drive business impact by working collaboratively across a variety of working groups in an agile work environment to deliver outcomes in a timely manner
  •  will mentor junior team members on modelling processes, interpretation of statistical results and storyboarding.

To be a success in this role, you’ll have extensive experience consulting to stakeholders in order to understand business needs and translating these to analytics use cases to deliver business outcomes, customer insights using advanced analytics methods, modelling and or statistical techniques.

You will also have experience with development and application of applied statistical and quantitative analysis and modelling, translating business problems to statistical problems, writing code to read, as well as auditing and reviewing raw input data and create meaningful data transformations to normalise, align and scale data to address specifics of the business. 

Your degree and/or Masters will be in a quantitative subject such as a degree in statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering (industrial, computer or electrical), or a related field. Banking Industry Experience is a plus.

Finally, you’ll have experience working with tools including or similar to Alteryx, R, Python, Tableau, SPSS, SQL, Hadoop, Hbase/NoSQL, Spark and Storm.
