Credit Risk Senior Analyst - Business Banking

An opportunity exists for you to join as an experienced Senior Analyst within our Risk Management Group in Melbourne. In this role, you will be aligned to the Business Banking Division, presenting an excellent opportunity for you to build on your already successful career in the banking and finance industry.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with a team of senior credit signatories and senior business stakeholders structuring and approving transactions. In addition to working on transactions, opportunities will exist to develop and work on new products and projects, as well as implement new risk management frameworks across lending portfolios.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to analyse and approve new and existing loans for small to medium enterprises, corporate and middle market clients, whilst working with business stakeholders to deliver commercial outcomes and efficient turnarounds.

You will also have the responsibility to monitor emerging trends and risks across the market and portfolio whilst managing project, policy and compliance work that adds value, and positively influences the culture of the Bank.

You’ll bring with you, demonstrated experience in credit risk management (preferably corporate analysis), accounting or cash flow lending, with strong capacity to understand risk, interpret financial statements and negotiate commercial outcomes. We’re also open to people with experience in financial analysis or critical analysis more generally.

This role would suit a ‘self-starter’ with a growth mindset and a desire to learn, who also displays a strong resilience and the ability to defend their view when challenged. If you have a history of building strong positive working relationships with key stakeholders across multiple teams within an organisation and have the ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, then we would love to hear from you.
