Compliance Manager / Senior Manager


An excellent opportunity to join a new team in Sydney within our Support Group Compliance, as a Manager/Senior Manager.

Across the industry there has been recognition of an increasing requirement to provide regulatory compliance advice and oversight to teams in areas such as operations, finance, IT and human resources. To align and partner with these business areas, Macquarie has created a Support Group Compliance team.

The role will require you to partner with our Support Group functions where you will deal with a wide range of activity across our divisions globally including:    

  • Initiatives and issues in technology such as transition to cloud and facilitating remote working arrangements
  • Supplier and premises management
  • Market operations
  • Treasury, finance and corporate affairs

Key regulatory aspects of this role also include operations resilience, client money regime, cyber security, data management and regulatory reporting.

You will report to the ANZ Support Group Compliance Lead and you will be responsible for supporting our Corporate Operations and Financial Management groups. The role will give you the opportunity to work closely with staff at all levels and see you provide advice to businesses, perform regulatory gap-analysis and risk assessments, assist in audits, maintain policies and contribute to various projects.

To be a successful in this role you will need effective interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships across various business stakeholders. You’ll also need strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to proactively identity and analyse problems and propose viable solutions.
