Cash Equities, Senior Associate/Executive


A fantastic opportunity currently exists for a Senior Associate or Executive to join the Cash Equities Settlements team within the Market Operations Division of Macquarie based in Sydney.  

The team is responsible for the settlement of Equities transacted by ASX trading in the Australian Domestic and New Zealand markets. 

Reporting to the Settlements Manager, you will be responsible for settlement of Equity trades in the Australian  market via CHESS and daily stock, NOSTRO and internal front and back office cash reconciliations. Your will also be liaising with Middle Office and counterparties daily in relation to settlement matters.

Key to your success will be your strong attention to detail, combined with a demonstrated ability to work well under pressure. You are a team player who is able to work in a methodical manner and accept accountability and ownership of tasks. You would ideally have completed an undergraduate Degree in Commerce or a business-related area, and possess exceptional communication and prioritisation skills. Knowledge and experience with SYN would be an advantage.

This is a great opportunity for a candidate who is looking to utilise their understanding of the controls, policies and procedures within the Settlements function and banking and finance knowledge in a fast-paced and high performing team. You will need to be flexible to cover staff absences, busy settlement periods and work public holidays as required.
