Business Manager - 12 Month Contract - Personal Banking


An excellent secondment opportunity is available to join the Business Management function of the Personal Banking division. This L3/L4 role reports to the Head of Business Management and presents an excellent opportunity to join an exciting and fast-growing business within Macquarie’s Banking & Financial Services Group.

We are looking for a committed and driven professional with strong relationship management, problem solving and analytical skills to join our team as a Business Manager.  

The Business Management function is part of the broader COO team and the overall aim of the Business Management function is to facilitate business growth, while driving operational excellence through aligned, high quality support services.

As a Business Manager for Personal Banking, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Preparing materials for monthly business reviews and insights
  • Embedding framework and governance of Knowledge Management best practice
  • Managing commercial discipline and business efficiency across cost base
  • Ensuring the highest standards of governance and accountability
  • Guiding the Business Management team in using Agile ways of working
  • Managing adhoc requirements in a timely and proactive manner

We are keen to hear from people who can demonstrate:

  • A high level of self-motivation and drive
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong O365, excel and powerpoint skills
  • Scrum master experience would be beneficial
  • A flexible and pragmatic approach, with a strong bias to action
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in financial and business analysis
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to drive resolution of business issues
  • Excellent attention to detail, planning, prioritisation, project management skills
  • Experience in business process improvement and driving delivery of change
