Business Development/Sales Manager


This is a senior position, responsible for driving volume growth, identifying new opportunities and managing multiple stakeholders, while always operating within Macquarie’s compliance framework. As part of the Rental Sales business your efforts will contribute significantly to the team’s overall financial results.

Our Specialised and Asset Finance Division provides innovative and traditional capital, finance and related services to clients operating in selected international markets. With offices in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and Europe, Specialised and Asset Finance specialises in:

  • leasing and asset finance
  • tailored debt and finance solutions
  • Asset remarketing, sourcing and trading.

As our Sales Manager / Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring third party Finance Introducers, bringing on Enterprise customers and growing related volumes in the New South Wales asset finance segment focusing largely on technology related equipment including I.T, office and medical equipment.

Key responsibilities will see you manage portfolio profitability, own and deliver assigned projects, new policies and processes relating to Rental Sales and the broader Sales Team. You will also maintain a strong understanding of the asset finance industry, including the ongoing impacts of regulation, technology and changes in market structure.

To be successful in this role, you will have considerable experience in either asset or commercial finance. Ideally, this experience will include knowledge of operating leases and rental finance coupled with sales and credit management experience within a large Financial Services business. You will demonstrate the ability to operate successfully in a fast moving and outcome-driven environment, along with the passion and enthusiasm to drive team success and deliver against growth targets. A tertiary qualification in a finance related discipline is also preferred.
