Business Analyst, Regulatory Reporting - 12 months contract


A great opportunity exists for a proactive and experienced Business Analyst to join the Regulatory Operations team on a 12 month maximum term contract.  With a focus on Transaction Reporting in this role you will have the opportunity to add value while working on regulatory assurance and data management programs during a busy period of change.

The Regulatory Operations Team based in Sydney is responsible for the on-going management of global transactions across all businesses which are reportable to key regulatory bodies.  You will work closely with Business, Compliance and Operations teams to document regulatory requirements and interpretations. You will be performing root cause investigation, impact analysis, identification and mitigation of issues or risks as well as providing input to test planning for technology teams and execute sample testing. Working closely with the assurance team on the rollout of completeness and accuracy processes, you will assist in the documentation and assessment of existing controls to identify areas of high risk and will gain exposure to derivative products and lifecycle events.

Ideally, you will have a proven track record of working in financial services sector in a similar role and have experience in APAC and US Regulatory OTC Transaction Reporting. You are someone who possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a risk mindset and has the ability to work individually and as part of the team, providing support and guidance to fellow team members. Your excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills coupled with your ability to adapt in constant change will see you thrive in this role.
