Associate - Global Payments and Operations

Join our Global Payments and Operations team in this 12 month contract

The Market Operations Division is looking for a resilient team player to join the Global Payments and Operations team for a 12 month contract. The successful candidate will have a strong operational background and payments knowledge and will be trained in the various roles and tasks within the team.

As a member of the Global Payments Operations team your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Verification of instructed transactions on client call accounts, including validation of payment formatting on outgoing payments.
  • Providing support to our offshore teams in the processing of the above transactions.
  • Settlement and verification of settlement of fixed term trades.
  • Responding to queries from internal and external clients.
  • Investigation and resolution of Nostro Reconciliation breaks.
  • Identification of areas for improvement within the team and participation in the daily team huddle.
  • Assistance with other ad hoc operational tasks as required.

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience in an Operations role, with experience in a busy, high volume and fast paced environment.
  • Possess the ability prioritise your own work to ensure successful completion of tasks.
  • Understand the importance of the controls and procedures within the Market Operations Division.
  • Enjoy working and contributing within a team environment.
  • Possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high standard of work.
  • Work in a methodical manner and accept accountability and ownership of tasks.
  • Have strong organisational and communication skills and display a questioning attitude to your work.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to cover staff absences, shifts and public holidays as required.
  • Have a passion for process improvement and operational excellence.

The team cover three shifts each day. The earliest commencing at 8am and latest finishing at 8.30pm. These shifts rotate between 3 staff members.
