Join our Enterprise Data Management program within Commodities and Global Markets and help to identify critical data and develop a comprehensive data governance framework.
As an Enterprise Data business analyst/analyst, you’ll join a growing team driving the roll out of data management best practice across the Group. You’ll also be involved with initiatives that impact a broad range of business stakeholders, including our wider business groups. You’ll be central to large change management initiatives, such as systems and process improvement, project implementation as well as qualitative and quantitative risk analysis and documentation.
You will also be involved in strategy and project planning for data governance processes and policies, the documentation and data element mapping across our business systems (definitions, validations, lineage and assessment of data quality controls) as well as designing processes and templates to facilitate effective data management, which will offer enormous diversity and breadth in your remit. We have periodic reporting on data quality, including issue management and resolution, and you’ll work closely with us on these essential practices as well as help support the stewardship and oversight of business data movements across all of Macquarie.
It’s important to us that you have an interest in data collection, mapping and tracing data lineage, and having an appreciation for data governance will also be key to your success in this role.
We’d like you to hold a tertiary qualification in a business discipline and possess a high level of PC literacy, particularly in Excel. You will have gained experience in financial markets, financial services, or management consulting, and ideally come with a financial products background (although not a pre-requisite). Strong communication skills are essential as you will work with a range of stakeholders, and it’s important that you are confident, to quickly build relationships. A keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise in this rapidly changing environment will be essential as is taking ownership of your work, demonstrating accountability for results yet be balanced by sound professional judgement.
