Analyst – Business Management - Market Operations Division

We are seeking an Analyst for the Business Management team who support the Market Operations Division (MOD) in various business management activities including: resource management; financial forecasting; strategy design and deployment; overseeing change initiatives; management information reporting; and governing processes to ensure the division’s effectiveness. In addition, the team provides oversight & support for the Operational Excellence program and for our Business Resilience framework / capability.

We are searching for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work closely with the Business Management lead and support MOD on a range of activities (while also liaising with stakeholders from around the globe). Using your strong analyst skills, your initial focus will be to further strengthen MOD’s resilience capability and ensure we are able to better prepare for, respond to and recover from business disruptions.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Analyse and assess business resilience plan data / impact assessments against quality criteria;
  • Conduct reviews with teams to drive improvements to business resilience plans and to team’s resilience capability;
  • Monitor business resilience plan compliance and strategy deployment to ensure alignment with resilience standards;
  • Assist teams in Market Operations on process improvement initiatives; ensure benefits are tracked accurately;
  • Embrace a continuous improvement mindset to identify & help deliver process improvements;
  • Prepare various monthly management reporting; liaise with teams / stakeholders and manage expectations;
  • Assist with ensuring adherence to standards, policies and governance frameworks used by Market Operations.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong aptitude for analysis; ability to analyse complex processes / issues / large data sets and draw meaningful insights;
  • An organised / planned approach to work and a good eye for detail;
  • A continuous improvement mindset; viewing current processes and procedures as opportunities for enhancement, tuning and improvement;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to influence and establish good working relationships with colleagues / stakeholders at all levels; 
  • Confidence learning new business and operational processes; an ability to pick up new concepts quickly;
  • A flexible and pragmatic approach, with a strong bias to action;
  • Strong Microsoft office skills particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
  • Interest / aptitude for emerging technologies;
  • A background in Operations and/or project work would be an advantage.
