Adobe AEM web developer

12 month contract with a view to extend

A great opportunity for you to showcase your strong technical and communication skills to join our CMS team and help shape the future of our presence across our website (www.macquarie.com) and other digital properties.

We are currently in the process of migrating from our legacy Content Management System (Opentext WEM) to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). We are seeking a midlevel AEM developer to join our team of developers to work on this project, with a possibility to convert to a permanent role following an initial 12 month contract.

In this role, you will be expected to work closely with the existing development team, as well as more broadly with stakeholders across Macquarie. You will be comfortable working in an Agile team under a DevOps model, interacting with stakeholders (both technical and business), and most importantly, will be able to apply problem solving skills to achieve great results.

In addition, you will bring the following technical skills:

  • experience working with AEM 6.3+ as a developer
  • strong Object-Oriented development skills
  • solid knowledge of JavaScript, Ajax, HTML5, CSS3 and additional web technologies
  • solid knowledge of building responsive and WCAG compliant sites
  • solid experience with consuming and writing RESTful services
  • experience with continuous integration and related automation of build processes.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • experience with Java
  • experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • experience with SDLC tools (e.g. Bamboo, JIRA, GIT, Confluence)
  • AEM training/certification
  • experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or React (ideally in an AEM context).

We are looking at candidates from a range of different backgrounds, and we also encourage candidates to apply who are interested in flexible working arrangements. If the above sounds like the right opportunity to further your career, apply via the link below or get in touch with chirag.bhojani@macquarie.com for more information.
