Translate strategic M&A advice into tangible outcomes as you work directly with senior leaders in Australia’s leading organisations. Are you in?

What will your typical day look like?

Supporting Corporate and Private Equity clients in the assessment of potential merger synergies and carve-outs, and stand-alone performance improvements, you will help them realise the true strategic and operational capability of acquisitions. This will involve planning and implementing integration and separation projects as the result of M&A activity.

As a Manager, you will also be involved with:

  • Financial analysis and due diligence for the proposed transaction
  • Preparation of acquisition / carve out business cases for review by key stakeholders
  • Development of integration / separation strategies to extract maximum value from the transaction
  • Execution of the transaction, including the negotiation of Transitional Service Agreements, blueprinting and Day-1 (Completion) readiness planning
  • End-to-end project management of large-scale transactions
  • Coaching junior staff to operationalise the deal process for clients through knowledge of the M&A lifecycle and excellent project management skills

About the team

We know that Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) are a huge deal for businesses, so whether the focus is on growth through acquisitions or increasing shareholder value through strategic divestments, we support clients from the start to finish. Our M&A Integration and Separation team focus on deal execution and implementation, as well as due diligence and pre-deal analysis. We provide end-to-end support for our clients during sell-side separations and buy-side integrations, with a focus on increasing growth and value. Join our like-minded and supportive team in navigating clients through complex deal processes.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

You are someone with:

  • 5+ years consulting experience from Big 4, tier 2 or boutique consulting firm
  • Familiarity with the broader deal-oriented process and environment
  • Pragmatic commercial acumen – able to identify risks and develop solutions to manage those risks, with the ability and willingness to deal with ambiguity and change
  • Project management experience in planning, overseeing and leading large-scale projects to completion
  • Bachelor’s degree or post graduate qualification
