Logistics Business Development Leader


As the Logistics Business Development Leader you will drive the growth of Lion’s business (Dairy & Drinks volume and external volume) through the provision of superior chilled logistics services.

You will deliver on non-Dairy & Drinks (D&D) volume & EBIT growth ambitions by identifying a pipeline of sales opportunities and developing growth strategies to significantly expand our external business revenue. Following industry trends locally and globally, you will influence the business to take advantage of opportunities in the marketplace to create unique offerings for potential customers, enabling Dairy & Drinks Logistics to leverage its competitive advantage as the Best Chilled Network in Australia.

Commercially minded, you have the ability and experience to draw on deep analytical expertise to research opportunities and viable revenue streams to develop compelling business case proposals and continually improve the customer value proposition and commercial models.

You have a proven track record in the management of business development and project delivery through customer/volume growth, and the implementation of new accounts. Proven relationship management skills and the ability to work collaboratively cross-functionally to ensure strategic alignment with Dairy & Drinks sales and marketing business plans will be essential to your success.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for a natural solution builder and problem solver with a background in experience in CFS (Convenience and Food Service) and Logistics (Warehousing and transport solutions) preferred, however wholesaling, commercial, sale or marketing will also be highly regarded. Complementing this, you will be a clear and proactive communicator and influencer, and can demonstrate a key understanding in development of business cases, customer/volume growth and Foodservice customer engagement.

You may have seen that Kirin & Lion have announced the sale of Dairy & Drinks business to Mengniu Dairy Company Limited (Mengniu Dairy) on a standalone basis, pending regulatory approvals. We believe this sale will allow Dairy & Drinks to benefit from access to leading-edge dairy research and development capability as well as further investment as part of the Mengniu Dairy business.
