Project Engineer

We are currently looking to recruit Civil Engineers to join the NorthConnex team in a part-time or job share capacity.

The $2.5 billon NorthConnex Project is the construction of a 9km dual tunnel motorway that will connect the M1 and M2 motorways. Delivered by way of Roadheader construction, NorthConnex will become Sydney's longest and deepest tunnel, and will deliver significant benefits to local communities by easing congestion on Pennant Hills Road, putting more than 5,000 trucks a day underground and returning local streets to local communities.

As part of the construction, Bouygues Construction Australia and Lendlease Engineering have collaborated to draw on their substantial global and domestic experience in urban tunnelling to deliver this exciting project.

At NorthConnex, we support work-life balance and embrace inclusion. That’s why we are now seeking applications from Civil Engineers who wish to work flexibly in a part-time or job-share capacity. If you are returning to the workforce, or are seeking a greater work-life balance, this may be the opportunity that you are looking for.

The tasks for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicating and coordinating construction activities with your job-share partner and team;
  • Promoting a positive work health and safety culture;
  • Coordinating and managing logistics and procurement;
  • Issuing and monitoring compliance to Permits to Work for the defined high risk activities;
  • Participating in the preparation of SWMS in consultation with the relevant work group;
  • Ensuring the quality and standard of workmanship performed both on and off site is in accordance with the specifications and relevant procedures;
  • Preparing Inspection Test Reports and checklists that accurately reflect contract requirements;
  • Providing input for the preparation of the short, medium and long term planning of the program works.

To be successful for this role you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or related discipline;
  • Construction industry induction (White Card);
  • Positive and collaborative attitude;
  • Well-developed planning and organizational skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the state's largest infrastructure projects and play your part in Australia's future.
