Personal Care Attendant

Classic Residences Brighton is currently seeking an enthusiastic, committed and customer service focused Personal Care Attendant to join their team on a casual basis. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will be required to provide low care duties to our residents including shower assistance, medication prompting and supported evening care assistance.

Lendlease’s Personal Care Attendants must hold an Aged Care Certificate III, or higher training certificate, and offer prior experience in a similar function to ensure they can effectively manage solo sleepover shifts and attend to on-site emergency callouts when required.

This role will require the successful incumbent to work both weekday and weekend shifts on an ad-hoc basis, covering a range of start and finish times including evening and sleepover shifts.

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Prior experience in a personal care attendant role or similar
  • Aged Care Certificate III or relevant higher training certificate
  • First Aid Level 2 Certificate, plus completed training for use of AED and performance of CPR
  • A current Food Handling Certificate
  • A Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (All care staff assist with setting up and heating meals, assist in the dining room and serve alcoholic beverages).
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the operational procedures and safe working practices of major Retirement Villages
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritise a varied work schedule.

Training will also be provided for resolution of some minor afterhours maintenance issues at the Village, as required.
