Maintenance Officer - Part Time


We a looking to employ and a motivated, customer-oriented and experienced Maintenance Officer to join the friendly and professional Team at Isabella Gardens, Retirement Village in Isabella Plains.

On offer is a permanent, part-time role (25 to 30 hours per week) with flexible working arrangements. You will be required to deliver general maintenance, repairs of buildings, fixtures and fittings, facilities and associated structures in accordance with the Village Maintenance Plan and Lendlease Safety Requirements.

Working under the guidance of the Village Manager, you will be hands on and be expected to establish appropriate relations with staff, residents and contractors. All works are be carried out in accordance with budget, policy and procedures. As you will be working alongside our many residents in their homes, a cheerful, respectful and empathetic customer-service focus is essential, along with a genuine interest in assisting older persons live a quality life in a vibrant community setting.

To be successful you must have:

  • Demonstrated competence as a handyperson or experience within a maintenance role.
  • Understanding of machinery use and tools required for the job.
  • High organisation skills and the ability to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
  • High motivation and the ability to take initiative.
  • Strong customer service and team focus.
  • General Computer literacy.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Environment, Health and Safety legislation.
  • Experience with Contactors will be an advantage.
  • Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
