Legal Counsel - Property Projects


We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Counsel to join our Property Projects legal team supporting our Property Development, Communities and Retail Property Management businesses. This position will be located at our world class offices at Barangaroo, Sydney and will be a great opportunity to work on some complex and exciting projects, across a range of different property assets.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and transactional support, including advising on large scale mixed use urban regeneration projects, master planned residential communities projects and retail property management. This will include providing advice on project structures, joint venture arrangements, development agreements and financing.

To be successful in this role you need a degree in law, a legal practising certificate coupled with a minimum of 5 years post admission experience either in a major law firm and/or as in-house counsel. Experience in property, particularly in major urban regeneration, master planned communities, apartment, commercial office and retail property projects as well as acquisitions and disposals of land, entities and portfolio transactions is essential. Experience in relevant ancillary legal areas including construction, real estate finance, litigation, insolvency, funds management and conflicts of interest is also desirable.
