Integrated Project EHS Lead


We are currently looking to recruit an Integrated Project EHS Lead on one of our Urban Regeneration projects, located in Brisbane.

Situated at the heart of Brisbane Showgrounds, residents, workers and visitors will flow through the new high street, King Street, day and night with retailers offering them total convenience – what they want, right when they want it. Dining, services and shopping will be at the very core of those needs. In response, King Street is offering: 2,500sqm speciality space, 1,084sqm supermarket, Laneway Kings Co-Op and a five-level 370 bay carpark.

Our vision is to create the best places not just for our clients and communities, but especially for our employees. We are currently looking to recruit a Head of EHS on one of our integrated projects in Sydney, Barangaroo.

As Project EHS Lead you will be responsible for establishing, monitoring and ongoing implementation of the precinct wide EHS systems, processes, goals and key performance indicators.

The role will provide the operational teams with knowledge and advice to ensure all legislative and internal minimum requirements are complied with. Success in this role will depend on your ability to balance reactive compliance monitoring requirements with proactive focus and development of leading precinct wide strategic EHS initiatives.

You will not deliver every EHS outcome yourself, but your infectious attitude, structured approach to strategy, collaborative nature with our project leaders and stakeholders on and off the project and the ability to imagine an Incident and Injury Free culture that does not exist today will ensure that the whole team delivers beyond their own expectations.

Your role will ensure Lendlease continues to raise the bar on the EHS front, learning from other projects (past and present), identifying strategic gaps and developing precinct wide initiatives that will take this project forward towards our aspiration of being Incident and Injury Free.

Reporting directly to the Brisbane Showgrounds Delivery Director, this role requires will require you to deliver on the wider precinct EHS strategic vision, managing complex relationships, identifying technical and practical safety solutions to high risk activities and leading ‘best in class’ company safety performance.

Exposure to the Apartments / Commercial projects at various stage of delivery will be highly valued as will your exceptional interpersonal skills and innovative leadership style. You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be able to demonstrate organisational courage, tenacity, and results orientated reputation.

Critical to your success in this role will be your ability to quickly build partnerships with the Leadership & Project Teams by demonstrating an understanding complex projects and priorities of each of the business units, while continuing to drive the rollout of the EHS Programs and embedment of a culture which never compromises on safety through the project and wider organisation.

You are a natural leader and strategic thinker with in-depth EH&S expertise who can span both the strategic and operational aspects of the discipline.
