Civil Maintenance Worker - South East Water

An opportunity exists for a Civil Maintenance Worker within our Water Division to join our team based in Dandenong. Your core responsibilities will include undertaking reactive water / sewer network maintenance tasks as required by the client. As such, you will be required to provide general labour and plant operating skills in the repair of water assets and other associated network maintenance activities in the South East Water region.

To be successful in this position you will be required to complete maintenance tasks and rectify faults effectively in a timely manner, whilst working cooperatively with all internal stakeholders meeting contractual targets in responding to and assessing all unplanned works.

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Rectification of sewer or water faults within a timely manner.
  • Monitoring and resolving any customer and / or general public issues while on site and implementing appropriate action.
  • Demonstrating commitment to Quality Management principles, OH&S and the Environment.
  • Lead and/or assisting in the completion jobs through mobile field computing / paperwork.

You will have experience in civil excavation works in the water / sewer field, hold a current MR Truck Licence / Excavator Licence / Confined Spaces Ticket / Traffic Management Ticket combined with experience and knowledge of water and sewer reticulation systems. You will demonstrate computer literacy, with experience using the MS Office software. You will be client focused, well organised, a strong communicator and have demonstrated ability to work within a team environment to achieve goals and objectives within a project driven environment.
