Classic Residences Retirement Village, located in Brighton, is currently seeking an enthusiastic, committed and customer service focused Chef to join their team on a permanent, part-time basis. You will be required to work approximately 30 hours per week, including some weekends. There is further opportunity to pick up extra shifts and hours available.

The Chef is responsible for delivering high quality food and catering services which meet the specific needs of residents in accordance with Lendlease standards and regulations. The Chef must also supervise kitchen staff on duty and train employees in food service and preparation and inventory control as required.

To be successful you must have;

  • Relevant trade certificate or qualification.
  • Demonstrated competence in a similar role.
  • Relevant Food Safety qualification and knowledge.
  • Excellent leadership skills – with a view to progress your career.
  • Experience in a la carte, function and bulk cooking.
  • Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
