The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of capacity planning models, pricing models and forecasts for multiple engagements.

The role holder will also be responsible for development and delivery of weekly and monthly financial reporting across multiple client engagements, including engagement with central finance to deliver consistent messaging for senior stakeholders.

In addition the role holder will provide analysis of data regarding operations performance which will require interaction with operational teams to proactively identify performance reports and trends.

The role will involve working with several internal functions e.g. Operations Support, Technology Development and multiple Operation engagements within Managed Services, so the ability to proactively build and maintain internal networks will be key to the success of the role.

 Your major responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the Planning Manager Lead to transform operational processes into forecasting, planning and pricing estimates by replicating real-world systems and scenarios using excel modelling techniques, analysis of gathered data, and operational knowledge to form a model which is an operational facsimile for commercial, fiscal and operational forecasting and ‘what-if’ scenario planning
  • Produce resource forecasts and contingency plans anticipating changes arising from internal and external factors, and agreeing assumption reviews with operations
  • Track actuals against assumptions, recalibrating resource plans as appropriate
  • Maintain resource planning procedures ensuring optimum deployment of resource whilst liaising with Operations on headcount and where recruitment is required
  • Develop Planning Analysts, by providing guidance, identifying training needs and arranging coaching as required to build core knowledge on requirements and share best practice
  • Monitor actual performance plan and make capacity planning decisions to ensure business objectives are maintained versus the original engagement capacity plan
  • Monitor and communicate with operations regarding non-core activity to ensure operations adherence to shrinkage targets. Assist management in identifying trends and opportunities to improve adherence and service levels
  • Lead the development of and effectively report the required engagement budgets, covering resourcing, costs and expenses to meet commercial objectives and targets, flagging issues to the Pricing & Planning Lead
  • Ownership and development of the relationship with the central finance function to ensure accurate and efficient output, translated into meaningful operational data
  • Ensure the policy, procedures and practices of the Planning Manager comply fully with all legal and regulatory requirements and codes of practice/conduct
  • Ensure appropriate risk controls are in place so that items such as the potential risk to company arising from money laundering and fraud, is minimised
  • Reporting of issues and/or business incidents to Planning Manager and/or Senior Leadership
