KPMG's Work Health and Safety (WHS) service offering is aimed at assisting a wide variety of Australian and International companies effectively manage and govern its WHS risks in accordance with legislative requirements and best practice.

We work with leading organisations across industry sectors primarily assisting them in understanding its WHS responsibilities, and in particular their governance level responsibilities.  In response to growing client demand, there is an exciting opportunity for an experienced safety professional to join our team. 

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Consultant to join our market-leading WHS Team.

Your Opportunity

As a Senior Consultant in the WHS team, you will: 

  • Work on a portfolio of clients across all sectors
  • Participate in the overall scoping, execution and delivery on a variety of all WHS projects
  • Interact with clients and stakeholders to deliver tailored, commercial and practical solutions
  • Contribute to all elements of client communication including proposals, reports and workshops

To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience could include:

  • Proven experience in a consulting environment
  • Experience in reviewing and developing WHS Frameworks, WHS Strategies, procedures and processes
  • Demonstrated experience in writing concise and high impact reports for business executives.
  • A willingness to learn from the more experienced professionals in the team
  • Basic understanding of:
    • Risk assessment / Hazard ID
    • Systems and process safety management
    • Accident and incident investigation
    • WHS Training, including program development and delivery
    • Auditing and performance assurance programs including due diligence is desirable
  • Degree qualification in Health and Safety, Applied Science (Health Promotion) or Similar.
