KPMG's Tax division are looking for a highly talented Employment Tax Senior Consultants to join our growing People Services team. Our Employment Tax business is combining technology with tax expertise to provide clients with high quality employment tax services. Your new role

The purpose of your new role will be to deliver tax technical expertise on matters impacting employers. You will have responsibility for advising employers on their PAYG Withholding, Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll Tax and Superannuation obligations, as well as assisting companies to manage these obligations through the use of technology and automation. You will also be responsible for leveraging your experience to support innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Your role will involve:

  • Leveraging data delivery tools and technology to provide value and assist employers manage obligations in an accurate and timely manner
  • Provide advice to employers on their tax and superannuation obligations
  • Innovate and support continuous improvement initiatives through automation
  • Provide thought leadership, counselling and training to junior staff to enhance technical and work management skills
  • Project management of large engagements including reporting and presenting achievement of key performance indicators

You bring to the role

  • Tertiary qualification in related discipline and CTA or CA qualification preferred
  • Previous experience with income taxation and payroll matters impacting employers is essential
  • Have gained experience within a Professional Services firm or large corporate organisation
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative and influencing skills and the ability to motivate and develop high performing teams
  • A leadership approach and previous experience mentoring junior staff
  • An honest and ethical approach to business which will provide a natural fit with KPMG's values
