An exciting opportunity exists for an experience client facing professional to join the growing team at KPMG in Melbourne, Australia.  A summary of the role and specific skillsets is includes below:

Your new role:

  • Working closely with KPMG industry, sector, division and account teams to bring deal creation and commercial skills to identify, qualify, shape and solution, and close large services-based sales opportunities.
  • Leading the conversation with both Government and Private Sector clients and internal KPMG teams to build and qualify major project and managed services sales opportunities enabling laser focus on new opportunities and must win deals.
  • Bring specialist skills in Bio-Security, Decarbonisation, Environmental in support of specific major projects. 
  • Building your knowledge of capabilities and experience across the KPMG Australia and KPMG partnerships internationally to draw upon the best of the firm to shape client value propositions and solutions that solve our clients most challenging problems
  • Providing early detection of potential delivery and commercial risks arising from major projects and managed services opportunities to continue to support the firm’s culture of delivery excellence.
  • Working with a highly motivated and experienced team with strong sales and commercial experience to build a firm-wide major project and managed services capability and culture
  • Analysing and assessing new major project solutions to help provide guidance on service and technical design and go-to-market strategies.
  • Working closely with KPMG Solutions, Alliances and Major Projects teams across multiple engagements to leverage specialist skills firm-wide

You bring to the role:

  • Track record of leading client conversations and internal teams in the shaping, winning and closing of large services-based deals
  • A deep understanding and experience with the development of sales pursuit strategies, developing client value propositions, client solution development, commercial and negotiations strategies
  • Experienced in Bio-Security, Decarbonisation and Environmental led programs or managed services opportunities, working in collaboration with alliance partners. 
  • Should be comfortable with technical details with a clear capability to identify risks in implementation and delivery.
  • Outstanding communication and public speaking skills with a proactive approach to building positive working relationships internally and externally.
  • Deep understanding of environment issues, policy, and best practice and strategic responses in transitioning to net zero and climate resilient future, as well as knowledge and understanding of broader national and international sustainability practices and trends.
  • Confident working at senior executive stakeholder levels and experience liaising with high level personalities, including high net worth individuals, senior government officials, and captains of industry to deliver complex transformative change.
  • Hands on, not solely theoretical, and able to understand the interdependencies between technical solutions, commercial models and financial costing/pricing analysis.
  • Comfortable liaising with legal teams and understanding key T&Cs issues and identifying genuine alternate mechanisms to manage the risk and return equation appropriately for the KPMG practice
  • Ideally a strong sales experience which includes deal qualification background supporting qualified pipeline management and well as experience and confidence in deal negotiation and closure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and capable of building strong internal and client relationships quickly based on trust.
