Fringe Benefits Tax Compliance Manager or Senior Manager

Our national Employment Taxes team within the KPMG People Services business has experienced significant growth and is recruiting experienced Manager or Senior Manager to join our high performing team ahead of a busy 2019 FBT season. We are open to candidates from any Australian location.

With a primary focus on FBT compliance, this role will help support our national team to deliver FBT preparation and review engagements. Our Employment Tax team has a clear focus on providing a high-touch, value-add advisory and compliance service to a diverse client portfolio.

Your new role

Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the preparation, review and lodgement of corporate FBT returns
  • Consulting to Australian mid-market and large corporate clients on their Fringe Benefit Tax obligations
  • Completion of complex FBT returns for large corporations
  • Opportunities to grow your career together with the team and progress within the firm.
  • Opportunity to help develop our FBT compliance solutions including the use of data analytics and robotic process automation
  • Play a part in growing a national function and shaping our future FBT offerings
  • Working within our wider People Services business, alongside a young and vibrant national team with a collaborative culture and strong growth mindset

You bring to the role

  • Experience working on Australian FBT
  • Experience in executing both FBT compliance and advisory work for clients
  • Able to demonstrate working examples within the Fringe Benefit Tax environment (desirable)
  • Experience in Australian tax is essential.
  • A commitment to client service with a proven track record of developing strong relationships with clients.
  • Strong tax technical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, supervise and mentor team members
