KPMG’s Operations Advisory are looking for a high calibre Operations Advisor with a track record of achievement in heavy industries to join the Adelaide team at Director-level on a permanent basis. The position would primarily serve clients within our Energy & Natural Resources industry group, particularly Power & Utilities, Oil & Gas and Mining.  The successful candidate would work with clients to identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their operations and successfully execute against their objectives.

  • Substantial experience in Business Operations / Operations Advisory within a global consulting firm
  • Deep experience in heavy industry sectors, with a particular focus on Power & Utilities, Oil & Gas, Rail and Infrastructure
  • Proven impact in building strong client and industry relationships up to C-Level, with the confidence to drive proposals in a sales environment
  • Critical thinking capabilities with superior analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strategic thinking skills, with experience in understanding complex organisational problems and structuring innovative, industry-leading solutions
  • Evidenced leadership experience across a number of the below areas:
    • Cost Reduction/Profitability
    • Operating Model
    • Business Transformation Leadership
    • Operational Management
    • Zero Based Budgeting

  • Track record in successfully developing and growing outstanding consulting teams
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Finance, Science, Technology or related disciplines will be highly regarded, with an advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, or PhD) advantageous;
