KPMG’s Property Due Diligence (PDD) group is the in-house team of Charted Surveyors, Environmental Scientists and Building Certifiers with full service teams in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth plus representative offices in Auckland and Singapore. Focusing primarily on commercial property: office, retail, industrial, hotels it also is well represented across other sub groups. Their principal services are Technical Due Diligence, Make Good Reporting, Environmental Investigations, Sustainability Services, Project Management and Tax Depreciation services.

Your Opportunity

The core skills within the PDD group are the technical assessment of the physical condition of commercial assets coupled with a clear understanding of client property and asset strategies. An important competency of the consultants employed by this leading surveying consultancy is the ability to take a commercial view of property circumstances and information.

Our Perth office is currently seeking a Building Services Engineer with the capability to assess the compliance and condition of property assets and produce professional quality reports for high level institutional clients.


You Bring to the Role

A technical background as a Mechanical or Electrical Services Engineer and you will have the core competencies that include:

  • Good knowledge of buildings and properties (e.g. 10yrs PQE) and the problems and issues to look for when dealing with due diligence assessments;
  • Good all round knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, Hydraulic and Vertical Transportation Services across commercial office, industrial and retail buildings;
  • The ability to write and present a cohesive, coherent and technically sound report for readership by high level executives;
  •  Excellent liaison skills with fellow engineers and consultants to be able to source relevant information for compilation in reports and assessments;
  • A very professional demeanour that will allow interaction with high level property executives in formal and informal settings.
  • Experience in sustainable building design and accreditation for rating systems, including Green Star and NABERS, is also beneficial.
