KPMG’s Working Capital Advisory Team helps clients improve their working capital performance. By blending a sense of financial nous with a process improvement mindset, we help our clients build better businesses and create value.

 

Your new role

We are currently seeking an exceptional candidate at either Associate Director or Director level to be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

In a typical week, you can expect a wide variety of tasks which will make every week different from the last.

Your role will involve helping clients improve their working capital performance with a particular focus on inventory. Interacting with a range of different stakeholders, you will help our clients identify, quantify and then implement strategies which can reduce the levels of inventory needed to run their businesses.

In this role, you will manage and lead a variety of work involving:

  • Rapid diagnostics to identify and quantify sources of working capital opportunity with a focus on inventory;
  • Analysis of improvement opportunities by looking at inventory and other working capital related data;
  • Conducting workshops with clients to develop insight, present conclusions and build by-in for your suggestions and strategies;
  • Leverage our suite of data tools to prepare market leading analysis and insight;
  • Present your findings to a range of stakeholders across all levels;
  • Develop tangible action plans and then partner with our clients to convert these into reality.

How Are you Extraordinary?

Successful candidates may have the following preferred background and skills:

  • Extensive experience in performance improvement with a focus on inventory and/or supply chain;
  • Prior inventory optimisation experience gained in a boutique consultancy, leading corporate or global Big 4 firm;
  • Strong technical / analytical skills with a strong competence in data and analytics
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills;
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
  • A natural curiosity about business and corporate performance improvement;
  • The ability to think on your feet, build relationships and work in fast paced teams;
  • A willingness to travel for short periods of time domestically and internationally.
