Your Opportunity

At KPMG we are developing the newest generation of emerging tech and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions and service offerings for our Clients.

We’re now searching for an experienced AI expert to work with our client facing divisions to build the AI capability across the firm.

The role requires a proven level of technical expertise and credibility in AI.

Responsibilities:

The AI Capability Lead is responsible for working with the divisions to help up-lift their capabilities in Artificial Intelligence. Reporting to the firm’s Chief Data Officer, the role is part of the Innovation, Solutions and Ventures (IS&V) team which works with the client facing divisions to:

  • Facilitate a whole-of-firm strategy for the development and up-lift of key technical capability areas;
  • Support discipline in execution and operations;
  • Develop the technical workforce in accordance with industry-standards;
  • Support the application of “best of breed” processes, architectures, patterns, methodologies and tools; and
  • Establish a Community of Practice to help with the cross-pollination of knowledge and best practice.

The primary focus of the AI Capability Lead will be to provide support to divisions to help build their AI capabilities. This will involve the following:

  • Work with divisional leads to develop a whole-of-firm strategy for AI.
  • Lead the Australian firm’s role in the KPMG Asia-Pacific AI strategy.
  • Lead the Australian firm’s strategy around ethical AI.
  • Maintain a high level of subject matter expertise through interactions with divisional leads, academia, professional societies, seminars and the professional literature.
  • Provide thought leadership in AI and work with divisions to bring emerging technology or thinking to the forefront to their attention.
  • Establish best practice process assets (architectures, patterns, guidance, algorithms, platforms and tools) drawing from the divisions, global firm and external sources (open source community or industry).
  • Maintain relevant links with divisional leads to anticipate future capability needs.

To be considered for this opportunity, you're likely to have a strong data science, data analytics and AI/ML with:

  • 10+ years of capability and/or product development in Machine Learning/AI technologies.
  • A business background that enables you to interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as a technical background that enables you to easily interact with technology leadership, software developers and architects.
  • Strong technical understanding of the Big Data and Machine Learning / AI market (technologies, tools, trends, players, use cases, customer scenarios & opportunity)
  • Experience with vendor platforms such as IBM Watson, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and AWS.
  • Solution building experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning (DL), Natural Language Processing, Cognitive Science or other related areas.
  • Experience with AI/ML programming languages and frameworks e.g. Python, Scikit-Learn, R, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch SpaCy, NLTK, Gensim, or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organisations.
  • A market profile as an AI thought leader.
  • Must be a self-driven problem solver, with willingness to take ownership and accountability of getting tasks done.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Education: Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration related field.
