KPMG’s Real Estate Advisory team, part of the Deals, Tax & Legal division, provides objective, practical and commercial advice on property-related matters to help clients make effective decisions in often commercially competitive situations, with tight timeframes and extensive geographical coverage. We have the necessary specialist skills, industry-focused experts, and global resources to provide the in-depth advice and follow-through that today’s environment requires.

 

Your Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for an Analyst to Manager level candidate to join the the Real Estate Advisory group in Melbourne. You will utilise your skills to support the team to deliver property-related commercial and financial services to a range of interesting clients across sectors.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide clients with strategic, financial, transactional, valuation and commercial advice, in relation to business cases, decision making and transaction processes to procure and deliver large scale projects across a range of sectors.
  • Work closely with our Infrastructure & Projects Group service line to add value across a range of nationally significant projects.
  • Assist in or manage the preparation of client deliverables, including financial modelling, drafting reports and presentations, as well as developing and building relationships both across KPMG and with our clients.
  • Assist in or manage the preparation of responses to RFP/RFQs.
  • Project support to all team members on a day-to-day basis, assisting the group to meet deadlines in an often fast paced environment.
  • Conduct market research and analyse data to inform the development of client strategies and opportunities.
  • Play an active role in supporting the development of the team and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture of work.

How are you Extraordinary?

The ideal candidate for this role will be highly motivated and have the following experience and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualifications in real estate, property economics, commerce, economics or law
  • Development feasibility, financial analysis and/or valuation experience of transport related and over station real estate development projects
  • Experience of advising on complex real estate development/investment projects for private and public sector clients
  • Transactions experience, preferably of complex real estate development/investment projects  Project management experience, including management of internal and external consultants (e.g. Tax, accounting, legal, architectural, model integrity and other specialist advisors)
  • Advanced presentation and report writing skills
  • Thorough understanding of core real estate sectors and market trends
  • A strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and an enthusiastic personality
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills and the ability to juggle competing demands to strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of value capture mechanisms and finance and funding structures
