The main purpose of this role is to work with the National Head of Alliances in order drive the strategic alliance function within KPMG Australia. The role will be both client facing and internal, where you will be meeting with strategic alliance partners and potential target alliance partners to help determine joint go-to-market offerings, and to facilitate the smooth running of the KPMG National Alliances function. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced client facing professional to join the growing team at KPMG in Sydney or Melbourne.

Your new role:

  • Act as one of the first points of contact for the National Alliances team to scope new potential alliances / teaming agreements and ‘triage’ appropriately.
  • Work with KPMG leaders and the Alliance Partner Leadership to develop strong Alliance based value propositions, which will clearly define the Alliance purpose. This may take the form of running Joint Value Proposition workshops.
  • Work with internal Leaders to help develop key relationships with Alliance Partner Leadership teams, and regularly check in to understand how relationships are developing at an individual Alliance lead level
  • Responsible for up skilling Partners and the wider KPMG business on Alliance capability to better sell joint offerings and the overall Alliance function; this could include induction events / presentations at Divisional levels
  • Work with KPMG Alliance Lead Partners to develop sales strategies, business development and set revenue targets and budgeting for each strategic Alliance
  • Attend selected Business Reviews with NMP (National Managing Partner) Solutions & Growth and National Head of Alliances 
  • Identify Alliance risk factors and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Work with industry and Divisional leads to identify white space in the Alliance market for KPMG, and pro-actively target Alliance Partners that can enhance KPMG’s offerings
  • Understand KPMG’s competitive positioning in relation to key clients and ensure that competitive intelligence is shared and actioned across key client opportunities and portfolios.
  • Understand the wider offerings of the firm and gain a good understanding of broader sector / client trends, issues, needs and potential applicability / relevance across Alliance portfolio.
  • Liaise with KPMG Global teams (Global, US, UK, Germany) to develop global Alliance best practice and share knowledge
  • Work with KPMG Global to report on KPMG Australia Alliance pipeline, revenue and results
  • Participate in monthly calls with global counterparts to understand developments in the global Alliance market

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • At least 7 years’ experience in a sales or client-facing professional role, in a complex solution sales environment
  • Demonstrated relevant Alliance Management experience
  • Experience in a professional services organisation will be highly regarded.
  • Experience of working within one of the strategic alliance organisations will be highly regarded
  • Strong experience in reporting and financials will be critical
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills that enable the individual to work in a fast moving and highly collaborative culture.
  • Confident to work at senior executive stakeholder levels delivering succinct messages that can be consumed quickly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong drive and resilience; capability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Ability to take the initiative, forward plan and find pragmatic solutions
  • Pro-active and results oriented approach
  • Comfortable working independently and within a team.
  • Ability to build strong internal and client relationships based on trust.
