Account Manager - ENR and Market Support

The Account manager will be responsible to support the co-ordination and administration of key accounts across QLD Energy & Natural Resources (ENR) industry group (specifically the Mining and Power & Utilities sectors) and specified named accounts. The successful incumbent will be responsible for working with relevant Lead Partners on supporting converting strategic opportunities including high value pursuits, account management on selected Client Service Teams (CSTs), including gathering and sharing client and market insights. The incumbent will also play an integral role in linking our national initiatives, from both Industries and the C&M Sales Enablement Team to relevant Queensland key accounts.

Your new role

You will be responsible for:

  • Co-ordination of and engagement with the CST, development of structured meeting agendas for CST meetings, documentation (eg. account plans, organization charts, relationship maps) and follow-up of key action points from the CST meetings.
  • Act as the Account Manager for selected major Accounts in QLD.  These accounts to be agreed with ENR Sector Leads, State Chairman and Performance Development Manager (PDM)
  • Drive the creation of and work with Lead partners on the execution of focused CST Plans on selected major accounts to develop our relationships and optimize our revenues/opportunities
  • Ensure major opportunities and the account plans and actions are reviewed and challenged regularly through effective CST meetings.
  • Coordinate major tenders and pitch processes for your defined portfolio, providing challenge and support.  Inject the client perspective into the process.
  • Support the Pursuit Leader/Manager in managing the end-to-end pursuit process, including following up on proposal content and follow up actions.
  • Ensure that all proposal and pitch processes are followed up with a formal client debrief and the results of that debrief are communicated to key stakeholders (i.e. Pitch team, broader CST, Markets Team, Chairman’s Growth Forum etc.)
  • Assist in the collation and review of reports such as: Leads, Opportunities, and Market Analysis.
  • Coordinate, capture, distribute and monitor all incoming tender opportunities
  • Work with the Client & Markets Intel team to gather the inputs and develop the suite of report required for Qld
  • Facilitate communication and sharing of insights from the above activities amongst CSTs, ENR Sector Leads and other Qld Leadership Teams.

You bring to the role

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a B2B business development/account management or similar divisional/service line experience in these areas will be preferable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different functional areas and influence multiple/varied stakeholders without authority
  • Experience and commitment to a client-centric model of business development and demonstrated success in building solutions that focus on solving and satisfying client issues/challenges/needs
  • Experience working with strategic and priority accounts
  • An excellent team player who is capable to work in stressful environment and provide a great service.
  • High level of English written and spoken who is capable to present and express clearly in meetings.
